Introducing Mobile Application Development for Android (Joint event with EGJUG)

1st joint event with EGJUG

The aim of the session is to introduce the Android SDK to Java developers covering breadth level of details. It also aims at exposing developers to the life cycle of developing an Android application, starting with the IDE, moving to the features of the SDK (UI, Graphics, Multimedia, Location and Sensing, Accessing files, networking, ...etc.) and finalizing with packaging and exporting the application to the Android Market. The session will also highlight the current market trend of Android applications on the Android market. What categories of applications are hot? And what category is expected to rise in the coming period. It will also demonstrate how Android compares with other mobile OSs such as RIM, iOS and Windows Mobile 7... By Ahmed Misbah
