AAC Semi Finals in Egypt

Semi finals are here! 60 Apps from around Africa, 4 from Egypt and it's time for selecting the final from Egypt (African semi final).

The winner will receive an Android Phone, and will be able to submit his App/Course to the final round. He will get promoted as well at the Google I/O event.

The next step, tomorrow Tuesday June 12th, the judging panel is going to take place to select the best one to represent Egypt in the African Finals. More details about the competition and sponsors could be found here: http://androidchallenge.org

Who?
The developers are invited to present tomorrow what they have done in front of our judges, but anyone from the community is also welcome to join. So if you feel yourself interested to see what they have done, and join the community judgement to determine who's going to be the winner (it's counted!), then you are more than welcome, just be on time!

Meet our judges:
Ahmed Misbah Software Development Leader at Raya
AbdAllah Zidan Senior Android Developer at Azgatech
Bassam Senior Android Developer at Mobidev

Each competitor will be given 30 minutes:
05 minutes --- Prepare the laptop and the presentation.
10 minutes --- Presentation!
05 minutes --- Questions from judges.
10 minutes --- Questions from the community.

Judging Criteria for Apps:
  1. User-friendliness (Ease of use).
  2. Relevance (Value addition to users).
  3. Innovation and Creativity (Originality of Thought).
  4. Originality of Idea and implementation (innovative, visionary, or new idea).
  5. Use of Hardware Platform (use of Android’s features).
  6. Branding (branded in a clever, catchy, or innovative way).
  7. Necessity (solve a unique problem, meet a need).
Judging Criteria for Courses:
  1. Originality.
  2. Copyright.
  3. Is there a similar solution?
  4. The beneficiaries for this material.
  5. What could be the impact for such a solution for the beneficiaries?
How it's going to work?
There will be one winner for Apps. As for courses, all criteria must be met, we may not have a winner at all if any of those criteria are not met.
